ELIGIBILITY:
Auckland University of Technology (AUT) awards scholarships to high achieving candidates applying to an approved doctoral programme at AUT. Applicants who have the full support of their Faculty and who have completed their qualifying programme at a New Zealand university with either first class honours (with a GPA of 7.0 or above) or a straight A average (GPA of 8.0 or above) in their qualifying programme are guaranteed a scholarship (Category A). Applicants who do not meet this requirements may apply in the October scholarships round (Category B).
Entry criteria
- Selection will be based on demonstrated excellence in the following:
- the applicant’s academic record (including prizes, awards and any publications)
- the applicant’s research proposal
- the applicant’s research and/or professional background and any publication record
- the referees’ statements
- the availability ofsupervision within the applicant’s area of research
SCHOLARSHIP VALUE: An annual stipend of $33,000 per year, plus tuition fees and student services fee.
DURATION: 3 years
