ELIGIBILITY:
- At the time of application, the applicant must have been accepted as a doctoral student by a state-recognised institution of higher education in Germany or another EU country.
- Preference will be given to dissertation projects related to the working areas of the Heinrich Böll Foundation
REQUIREMENTS:
The key criteria for assessing written applications and admission to the next stage of the procedure are:
Very good school and university academic record
A convincing research project (exposé, innovative line of enquiry, realistic timetable, preliminary work that has reached an advanced stage)
Social commitment and political interest
Convincing arguments for applying to the Heinrich Böll Foundation
SCHOLARSHIP VALUE: €1150,- per month basic scholarship plus €100 per month research costs allowance
DURATION: Two years as a rule, may be extended twice at most by half a year
DEADLINE: 1 September and 1 March (Recurring)
