ELIGIBILITY:
- Your must be an international student (excluding New Zealand);
- You must be studying for your first PhD;
- Scholarships will be awarded on academic merit and research capacity to suitably qualified overseas graduates eligible to commence a higher degree by research;
- Applicants must have gained admission already or have lodged an admission application for Research
- Applicants must meet admission English language requirement for the chosen course of study
- Applicants whose English are conceded by the enrolling areas will meet admission but not scholarships requirement;
- Not have held an AusAID scholarship within two years prior to commencing the IPRS;
SCHOLARSHIP VALUE:
The International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) provides:
- course tuition fee for two years for a Masters by Research and three years for a Doctoral degree; and
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the recipient and their dependants for the duration of the award.
In addition, all successful applicants will receive an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) valued at $26,288.00 for living allowance. This tax-free stipend is indexed annually.
