The School of Anthropology and Conservation have a proven track record of being awarded scholarships from the major
Research Councils. Competition for scholarships is fierce so please follow the procedures outlined below to ensure your application is considered.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Candidates must hold a good Honours degree (First or 2i) or a Master’s degree at merit or distinction in a relevant subject or equivalent.
  • The scholarship competition is open to all new postgraduate research applicants.
  • Current Kent research students are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • UK, EU and overseas fee paying students are invited to apply. Please note that overseas students must have the appropriate documentation to evidence eligibility to work in the UK. SCHOLARSHIP VALUE:

The Scholarship element of the GTA may vary from a few hundred pounds up to a combined salary and maintenance grant equalling the full UK Research Council rate of £14,057 (rate for 2015-16) plus tuition fees at the home/EU rate.
