The Cyprus Institute (CyI) is accepting applications for its Energy, Environment and Atmospheric Sciences PhD program. Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to study at The Cyprus Institute, applying their research towards the activities of the EU H2020 CySTEM project.
ELIGIBILITY:
- A Master’s degree from a recognized accredited institution, with a strong academic record in a major field of study and background relevant to the proposed graduate-level studies with a GPA at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent.
- English Language (at least 6.5 IELTS; 570 paper-based TOEFL; 220 computer-based TOFEL; or other accepted International Standard, if from a school where English is not the teaching language.
- Strong computational skills to allow competent search and analysis appropriate for the selected field of study.
- GRE general test scores, or equivalent. You will be asked to submit GRE scores in the application form. In exceptional cases the GRE General test requirement may be waived for applicants of outstanding academic credentials.
TASK DETAILS:
The curriculum tracks courses depending on the selected domain (energy, environment, or atmosphere) as well as including a number of courses that provide insights into a variety of more specialized and vital topics.
SCHOLARSHIP VALUE:
The financial support is in the form of a stipend of 14,000 euro per annum for living expenses
