ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants must be citizens of countries other than Australia or New Zealand, and not Australian Permanent Residents.
IPRS applicants must be commencing full-time enrolment for the first time in a higher degree research program in Australia. Applicants who have commenced a higher degree research degree and terminated that enrolment within 6 months of commencement may still be eligible.
IPRS scholarships require applicants to be eligible for entry into a PhD or MPhil program. Candidates are expected to undertake full time, on-site candidature at Macquarie University. Read the eligibility requirements for PhD or theeligibility requirements for MPhil.
REQUIREMENTS:
Successful applicants will usually have:
- an outstanding academic record
- a history of scholarships and prizes at the undergraduate level
- and may have evidence of peer-reviewed research activity, such as publications and/or conference presentations.
SCHOLARSHIP VALUE:
The IPRS covers international tuition fees and compulsory health cover, for up to three years for a full-time Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and for up to two years for a full-time Masters of Philosophy (MPhil).
In addition to the international tuition fees covered under the IPRS program, Macquarie University offers IPRS awardees a living allowance stipend, valued at $38,500 per annum tax exempt which is paid as a fortnightly stipend.
