IGNITE is an European Training Network and we are searching for applicants with a broad interest in invertebrate genomics.
ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants can be of any nationality and must comply with mobility criteria concerning positions for Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) in Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions. They must:
- Have less than 4 years full-time research experience at the time of recruitment by the host organisation (contract signature). The four years are measured from the date when the researchers obtained the degree that formally entitles them to embark on a doctorate, either in the country in which the degree was obtained or in the country in which the researcher is recruited, irrespective of whether or not a doctorate is or was ever envisaged.
- Not have a PhD yet.
- Not have resided or carried our their main activity in the country of the host organization for more than 12 months in the last 3 years immediately prior to the recruitment date.
- Have excellent knowledge of the English language (spoken and written / proficiency level).
TASK DETAILS:
We will considerably enhance our knowledge and understanding of animal genome knowledge by generating and analysing novel data from undersampled invertebrate lineages and by developing innovative new tools for high-quality genome assembly and analysis. The well-trained genome scientists emerging from IGNITE will be in great demand in universities, research institutions, as well as in software, biomedical, agrofood and pharmaceutical companies.
