The Postdoctoral Research Program (PRP) is an international and horizontal program that provides promising new scientists access to unique world-class facilities across Canada and the opportunity to work alongside multi-disciplinary teams of expert researchers and technicians on projects of critical importance to Canada.
ELIGIBILITY:
Candidates must have obtained a doctoral degree (PhD) within the last three (3) years* from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field of natural sciences with a specialization related to the duties of the position.
- Haven’t graduated yet? You can apply to the PRP if you are currently enrolled in a doctoral program at a recognized post-secondary institution, however, you must have completed your degree in order to be appointed to a position.
- Canadians and non-Canadians. Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order.
* Special consideration may be given to applicants who were unable to apply during the 3-year period, due to a significant career interruption or delay.

SALARY: As the PRP is for researchers at the beginning of their careers, starting salaries usually range between $55,870 and $86,853.
