Forrest PhD Scholarships in Australia

 

ELIGIBILITY:

1. Applicants for the Scholarships must have applied for enrolment in a PhD degree at one of the participating universities.
2. An applicant must have a bachelor’s degree of First Class Honours standard or equivalent and have:
   1. Applied for an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or equivalent at the enrolling university;
   2. Applied for an International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) or equivalent at the enrolling university if they are an international student

   Applicants are encouraged to contact the enrolling university to confirm scholarship closing dates and application procedures.

 

SCHOLARSHIP VALUE:

1. All Forrest Scholars will receive a scholarship package which includes:
   1. an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or equivalent university postgraduate research scholarship stipend valued at $26,288 per annum in 2016 and indexed annually;
   2. an accommodation allowance valued at $19,716 in 2016 and subject to annual indexation;
   3. a relocation and research travel allowance of $13,000.
2. International Forrest Scholars will also receive an International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) or equivalent university international fee Scholarship which covers the full international tuition fees and overseas student health cover.
