The Faculties of Engineering, Health, and Social Sciences are accepting applications as part of an open University of Sheffield Research Scholarship competition for all applicants to their departments.
ELIGIBILITY:
- You should have, or expect to achieve, a first or upper second class UK honours degree or equivalent, and meet any other entry requirements stipulated by your chosen department.
- You should be applying to start your first year of study on a full-time or part-time PhD in the academic year.
SCHOLARSHIP VALUE:
The scholarships cover tuition fees and a tax-free stipend at the UKRI rate (currently £18,622 in 2023), as well as a generous training and development allowance.
These scholarships fund up to three and a half years full-time or seven years part-time study, subject to satisfactory progress.
Part-time studentships are paid at 50% of the full-time rate.

DEADLINE: The scholarship application form will close at 5pm GMT on 24 January 2024. Some departments have earlier internal deadlines by which they need to have received your application. Please ensure that you have consulted your department so you are aware of their deadline.
