The Urban Environmental Management and Climate Change team of IHS offers an internship position for a postgraduate student
REQUIREMENTS:
- The candidate should be an international student at a Dutch or foreign university in a postgraduate (Master’s) study programme that requires a work placement/ internship at an international organisation like IHS
- Postgraduate (Master’s) programme preferably in one of the following disciplines: Environmental management, Urban Management and Planning, Sustainability, Economics and other related disciplines,
- Strong affinity for Sustainability/Climate change and environmental issues and urban management and development internationally,
- Knowledge, experience and interest in one or more of the following topics is an asset: Sustainability assessment methodologies and approaches, urban sustainability benefits, carbon markets, ecosystem services evaluation, climate change adaptation assessment, sustainability indicators, Cost Benefit Analysis, Cost-effectiveness analysis, Multiple Criteria Analysis for sustainability
- Strong analytical and research skills,
- Very strong organizational skills,
- Experience with e-learning will be an asset;
- Creative and pro-active attitude in team work,
- Excellent command of written and spoken English,
- Excellent computer skills (Excel in particular),
- Strongly motivated
TASK DETAILS:
- Assisting the implementation of on e-learning courses
- Preparing handbooks for courses
- Preparing manuals for courses/tools
- Conducting literature reviews on sustainability benefits on different sectors
- Supporting the general project implementation, including international communication, text writing and editing
- Assisting on project acquisition on climate change and environmental related issues
SCHOLARSHIP VALUE: 500 euros per month
DURATION: 6 months
